I Don't Frakking Know.

The domain of an artist who doesn't know what she's doing in life. The hilarity continues and thrives.
I'll show some arts previews/wips from my friends' webcomics/my webcomic/and some friends' videogame. And maybe some fanarts. Yeah.

I don't do requests/commissions. You can, however suggest me some artworks, and I MIGHT draw it. Or just ask me some shit. I might answer.

Time is the fire in which we burn.

So the downside to completely fixing fps, coloring, shading (accordingly), and adding awesome effects is that it takes up a shitton of memory - in it’s original size, of course. Thus, I have also uploaded it onto dA because dA isn’t a shit about big pictures (click-thru).

Baddass.

COMIC ART CORRECTIONS: Hips Don't Lie: Pelvis? What Pelvis?

comicartcorrections:

Pelvis? What pelvis?

This is a special Greg Land-specific category. My hatred of the way this man draws pelvises and hips is deep, fiery and eternal. What’s worse is that he deliberately does it, and he has no actual excuse of fucking up the way he does: He traces ALL his shit these days. No,…

This, to all artists who wants to draw REAL WOMEN, please please PLEASE read this.

artist-confessions: The real reason why anime is hate-popular.

artist-confessions:

There’s so many people that argue that anime is not what the haters make it out to be. They fight the idea that anime is a gate-way into crap art, and that it is not true that anime has bad anatomy/everything.

Well, they are right. All those reasons why anime is hated on are just excuses that…

Anime’s hobby.

Realism is professional.

You may get more pageviews and private commission offers on DA or other sites because you draw anime, but you are more likely to get a job in an actual game-making/illustration industry if you draw realism (and good realism at that ).  In the end, realism still earns you better and more stable income.

But keep in mind the field of art is exceedingly competitive.  So whether or not you make money really depends on your skill level.  Be it anime or western comic, if your art stands out compared to the rest, you will make money no matter which style you choose to draw in.

People dislike anime for various reasons, and your reasoning is ONE of them, but it’s definitely not the big reason that’s behind it all.

Coming to the conclusion that western artists who doesn’t like anime because they are jealous is immature.  I’ve started as an anime artist but changed to art styles of my OWN. Artists who shunned anime art mainly do it because they are trying to create their own styles, or just grew out of it.  Then there are artists who wants to be recognized for their own unique style.  Of course there is the thought of wanting more money, but “coming up an excuse to hate because they’re jealous” is not one of the main reasons.  For me, I am a cartoonist who grew out of anime, and I AM TOTALLY NOT JEALOUS OF ANIME ART AT ALL. Rather, far from it.  It’s an art style found too redundant or too used for other artists.  An artist want to feel special in their own way of style.  They want to say “That’s my own artwork. My own creativity.”  So yes, I have to disagree with this statement.  I’m not going to say I diss anime, because I don’t. I don’t hate anime at all. Just not interested, and that goes to the same for other artists who are not into it.

And basically, that’s my defense. :|
